Managing Partner
David Sweeney is the Managing Partner of PropertySolicitors.ie, the conveyancing division of Sweeney Solicitors, which he founded in June 2010. As Principal of the firm, David oversees all departments and remains closely involved in the day-to-day running of a busy and growing legal practice.
David specialises in residential property transactions and has extensive experience advising clients across all aspects of conveyancing, including first-time buyers, new builds, property sales, and investment purchases. He is particularly focused on delivering a streamlined, client-focused service, combining practical legal advice with efficient systems to ensure transactions progress smoothly.
David holds a Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies (BBLS) from University College Dublin and qualified as a solicitor through the Law Society of Ireland at Blackhall Place in 2007. He is also a member of the Faculty of Notaries Public, having been granted permission by the Supreme Court of Ireland to practise as a Notary Public in Cork in 2020.
Originally from Thurles, County Tipperary, David now lives in Cork with his wife Kate and their two daughters, Nell and Nancy.
Outside of work, David is a passionate rugby supporter. He is a former President of Sundays Well RFC and is an avid follower of both Munster and Ireland, travelling to home and away matches whenever he can
Consultant Solicitor
Joe Kelly is a highly experienced solicitor and former Principal of James J. Kelly & Son Solicitors, a long-established Templemore practice founded by his father in 1956. Following the merger of the firm with PropertySolicitors.ie in December 2025, Joe continues to work with the firm as a Consultant Solicitor, advising on residential and commercial conveyancing, as well as general commercial matters.
Joe qualified as a solicitor in 1987 after graduating from University College Cork. Following qualification, he worked in a legal practice in Sydney, Australia, specialising in intellectual property litigation. He returned to Ireland in 1989 to join the family firm alongside his father, the late James J. Kelly, where he went on to lead and grow the practice over several decades as Principal.
With extensive experience across a broad range of legal matters, Joe brings a deep, practical understanding to property transactions and commercial issues. In addition to his conveyancing work, he has a longstanding interest in mining law and has advised on mining-related matters for many years.
Joe also holds the position of County Coroner for Tipperary and currently serves as President of the Coroners Society of Ireland, reflecting his standing and reputation within the legal profession.
Joe is known for his pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and his ability to guide clients through complex matters with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, Joe is a keen golfer and has played many of the leading courses throughout Ireland
Legal Executive
Aisling Morrison is a Legal Executive with PropertySolicitors.ie and has specialised in conveyancing since 2017. She works closely with clients and colleagues throughout the transaction process, with a particular focus on the pre-completion stage of residential property transactions.
Aisling holds both an LLM and a BA (Hons) in Legal Studies & Business, bringing a strong academic background together with practical experience in conveyancing matters. Over the past number of years, she has assisted clients across a wide range of residential property transactions, helping to ensure matters progress efficiently towards closing.
Known for her friendly and empathetic approach, Aisling places a strong emphasis on attention to detail and dependable client service. She understands that buying or selling a property can be a stressful process and works hard to ensure clients feel supported and informed throughout the transaction.
Aisling particularly enjoys the satisfaction of completing transactions and helping clients reach the final stages of their property journey successfully.
Outside of work, Aisling enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her two dogs, pilates, and keeping an eye out for a good bargain. She is also a loyal Liverpool supporter
Legal Executive
Cecelia Synan is a highly experienced Legal Executive with over 35 years’ experience working in busy general practice and conveyancing environments. Based with PropertySolicitors.ie, she supports clients nationwide with residential conveyancing and probate matters.
Cecelia has extensive experience across all aspects of a sole practitioner practice, having spent 36 years working with a prominent property and probate law firm in Cork City, where she was involved in conveyancing, litigation and probate. This breadth of experience gives her a deep understanding of the practical and administrative side of property transactions.
She has particular expertise in the post-contract stage of conveyancing, including stamping, registrations and ensuring compliance with undertakings. Cecelia plays a key role in progressing transactions efficiently through to completion and registration, helping to ensure that clients’ legal title is properly secured.
Cecelia is known for her friendly and results-driven approach, with a strong focus on getting matters finalised accurately and without delay. She works closely with clients and colleagues to keep transactions moving and to resolve issues as they arise.
She has a particular interest in Registry of Deeds title and enjoys reviewing historical title documents, often gaining valuable insight into the history and evolution of properties.
Cecelia joined PropertySolicitors.ie in March 2025 and has quickly become a key member of the team.
Outside of work, Cecelia has a keen interest in family history and genealogy, enjoys reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Legal Executive
Imelda Costello is an experienced Legal Executive with over 30 years’ experience working across a broad range of legal practices. She is a key member of the conveyancing team at PropertySolicitors.ie, supporting clients nationwide in residential property transactions.
Imelda began her legal career as a Legal Secretary over three decades ago, gaining valuable experience working in firms in Thurles and Dublin, before continuing her career in Kilkenny City. She has spent the past 22 years working as a Legal Executive with Joe Kelly Solicitor of James J. Kelly & Son Solicitors, Templemore, prior to its merger with PropertySolicitors.ie, where she developed extensive experience in conveyancing and general practice.
Her background across multiple firms and practice areas gives her a strong practical understanding of property transactions from start to finish. Imelda works closely with clients and colleagues to ensure matters are handled efficiently and with attention to detail.
She is known for her professional, practical and approachable manner, and places a strong emphasis on clear communication and client satisfaction throughout the transaction process.
Imelda particularly enjoys working in conveyancing and being part of a supportive, team-focused environment, helping clients through what is often one of the most important transactions of their lives.
Imelda is a valued member of the PropertySolicitors.ie team, bringing decades of experience and a collaborative approach to her work.
Outside of work, Imelda is a proud supporter of Tipperary hurling and is hopeful of seeing the Liam MacCarthy Cup make a return visit to the office next year.

Tríona Ryan is is an experienced Legal Executive with PropertySolicitors.ie and has over 20 years’ experience working in legal practice. She is a valued member of the conveyancing team, assisting clients throughout the property transaction process with professionalism and care.
Tríona joined James J. Kelly & Son Solicitors shortly after completing her Leaving Certificate and FETAC PLC course, and has remained an integral part of the practice throughout its evolution and subsequent merger with PropertySolicitors.ie. Over the past 22 years, she has developed extensive experience in both conveyancing and coronial matters.
Working closely with clients and colleagues, Tríona is known for her efficient, attentive and empathetic approach. She understands the importance of clear communication and client support, particularly for first-time buyers embarking on their first property purchase.
Tríona particularly enjoys seeing matters progress from initial instruction through to successful completion and takes great satisfaction in helping clients through important milestones in their lives.

Legal Secretary
Lily McGuire is a Legal Secretary with PropertySolicitors.ie, providing support across a range of conveyancing matters. Since joining the firm in January 2025, Lily has become a valued member of the team, assisting with the smooth progression of files and day-to-day client support.
Lily is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws (LLB), which she is due to graduate from in 2026. Alongside her studies, she has gained practical experience in a busy legal practice environment, developing skills in document management, client communication, and supporting solicitors throughout the conveyancing process.
Lily adopts a professional and client-focused approach to her work, combining clear communication with a personable manner and strong attention to detail. She works closely with colleagues and clients to help ensure matters are progressed efficiently and professionally.
She particularly enjoys the variety of her role and the opportunity to engage with clients and legal professionals throughout different stages of a property transaction. As an early-career legal professional, Lily values the opportunity to apply her academic legal knowledge in a practical environment while continuing to build experience in conveyancing and property law.
Outside of work, Lily enjoys sea swimming and hiking, and plans to begin studying for the FE-1 examinations following completion of her LLB degree
Office Manager / Front of House / Legal Executive
Katie O’Regan is the Office Manager and Front of House at PropertySolicitors.ie, playing a central role in the day-to-day running of the firm and acting as the first point of contact for clients.
Katie has been with the firm since 2017 and, following a period of travelling, returned to the team in January 2025. She brings with her a strong understanding of the firm’s operations and a wealth of experience in legal administration and client support.
Working across administration and front office functions, Katie ensures that all client enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally, and that matters are directed to the appropriate team members without delay. She plays a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the office and supporting the conveyancing team throughout the transaction process.
Katie is known for her friendly, approachable manner and her ability to put clients at ease from the very first interaction. She takes pride in delivering a high standard of client service and ensuring that each client’s experience with the firm is positive and well-managed.
As a long-standing member of the team, Katie is a trusted and valued part of PropertySolicitors.ie, contributing to both the client experience and the overall efficiency of the office.

Audrey Walsh is part of the accounts team at PropertySolicitors.ie and brings over 30 years’ experience in legal accounts and law firm financial administration.
Audrey began her career working with a sole practitioner solicitor, where she developed extensive experience managing legal accounts and financial procedures within a busy legal practice. She later established her own accounts services business, providing support to a number of different solicitors’ firms and gaining valuable insight into the accounting and compliance requirements across a wide range of legal practices.
With decades of experience in legal financial management, Audrey plays an important role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the firm’s accounts function. She is known for her adaptability, attention to detail and practical approach to legal accounting procedures.
